The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) invites applications for two full-time professor positions starting September 1, 2013

- Professorship in Financial Accounting
- Professorship in Managerial Accounting

Applicants must have teaching and research experience in one of the two fields. They should have demonstrated their ability to publish regularly in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will be in charge of teaching Financial Accounting or Managerial Accounting at the Bachelor and Master level. Part of the Master courses must be in English.

For the Financial Accounting position, the candidate's specialization should relate to the core topics in the field (e.g. financial statements analysis, accounting standards, regulation, economic impact of accounting choices, auditing).

For the Managerial Accounting position, the candidate's specialization should focus on the core topics in the field (e.g. control, performance measurement, conception of incentive systems and/or management systems). However, candidates specializing in a closely related field (e.g. organisation, corporate governance, or health management) will also be given
consideration.

Teaching languages are French and English for one position and German and English for the other position (the specific allocation will be made during the recruitment process). As the University of Fribourg is a bilingual institution (French/German), passive knowledge of the other language (German/French) is expected in the medium term.

Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree in the field, a high-quality publication record and relevant teaching experience. The appointment will be at the associate or full professor level, commensurate with experience and qualification.

The University offers an excellent work environment and a highly competitive salary in international comparison. The University of Fribourg provides equal opportunities for women and men and aims at achieving gender balance.

The candidates should send their complete application package (motivation letter describing their qualifications for the position, cv, list of publications, teaching experiences, administrative responsibilities, research grants obtained, proposal of future research, three professional references and a choice of three representative scientific publications) until 25 January 2013 electronically in a single pdf-file to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Jean-Jacques Friboulet, Bd de Pérolles 90, CH-1700 Fribourg, decanat-ses@unifr.ch.
