The Department of Economics at the University of Konstanz (Germany) offers several positions for Research and Teaching Assistants in Macroeconomics (International and Monetary Macroeconomics, Labor Markets and Business Cycles). The positions last for a period of three years and start in fall 2012 or later. Remuneration and social benefits are in line with the German public service pay scale (TV-L13, 50%).

Doctoral student will participate in the department's doctoral program in Quantitative Economics and Finance and will actively participate in the macroeconomics research group (Professors Hahn, Hertweck, Kaas, Kocharkov and Scholl). They will also have opportunities to present their research results at international conferences and workshops. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in economics or in a related field (e.g. Mathematical Economics). Good knowledge of macroeconomic theory (dynamic general equilibrium) is expected.
