3rd Maastricht Economics Workshop

Communication, Expectations, and (ECB) Monetary Policy
Public Plenary Lecture: Andy Haldane (Bank of England)
Keynote Lecture: Michael Ehrmann (European Central Bank)
We invite submissions on (but not limited to) the following topics:
- The role of communication as an instrument of monetary policy
- Effectiveness of central bank communication
- The relevance of central bank communication in influencing expectation formation of households, firms, or financial markets.
We encourage submissions, empirical and theoretical, from the fields of economics, political sciences and law, and from both academics and policy makers.

Extended abstracts or preferably a full paper should be submitted electronically in PDF format by 23 February 2020 via the workshop website above. Notification about the outcome of the selection process can be expected beginning-March 2020.
Registration and Fees
Participation for presenters is free of charge. Lunch, coffee breaks, and the social dinner will be on the expense of the organising institution. Presenters of accepted papers will have to register to confirm their attendance. The registration fee for other attendees is 75 Euros which includes the conference dinner.
