Call for Papers
The University of Rwanda, College of Business and Economics (UR-CBE) and its regional EID partners Jönköping University-Jönköping International Business School (JU-JIBS), CoBAMS at Makerere University, UDBS and School of Economics at University of Dar Es Salaam, College of Business and Economics at Addis Ababa University and Faculty of Economics at University Eduardo Mondlane announce the fifth in its series of international conference of Eastern Africa Business and Economic Watch under the support of UR-Sweden –Economics and Management Sub-programme during 16-17 June 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The theme of the conference is “Sustainable Development – a post-pandemic future”. Original evidence based theoretical, methodological, empirical research, policy or practice oriented research papers on the theme are invited from researchers, academicians, industry practitioners for presentation in the conference. The papers must be evidence based, original and never submitted elsewhere for publication. The domains of the papers should be in the areas of economics and business management and any other interdisciplinary fields that contribute to socio-economic transformation that may fall in any of the defined tracks. Priority will be given to Rwanda based studies, but submissions from the rest of Africa and elsewhere are also welcomed, provided that they discuss the implications of the research findings to the African context.
The conference will also be available in virtual or hybrid mode, allowing participation on zoom.

A selection of high quality papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in international peer reviewed journals, as special issues. No conference fee is applied, but participants are expected to cover their travelling and accommodation expenses.
Venue and dates of the conference
University of Rwanda, College of Business and Economics, Rwanda. The specific venue of the conference shall be communicated later. The conference will be held during 16-17 June 2022.

Full papers should be uploaded before 30th April 2022 by sending to the following email: zaidurusagara@gmail.com.
The contacts (email and mobile number) of the corresponding author should be clearly mentioned on the coverage of the paper.
Timelines:
Submission of full papers (preferably 6,000-10,000 words, typed, 1 spaced in Times New Roman, 12 Font Size, 3 cm margin all around, in PDF format): 30th April 2022
Deadline for participation registration: 10th May 2022
Publication of conference programme: 15th May 2022
Conference days: 16-17 June 2022
Submission of Revised Full Papers for publication: 26th August 2022
