The 14th International German Socio-Economic Panel User Conference (SOEP2022) will be held in Berlin on June 30-July 1, 2022 at DIW Berlin. The conference provides researchers who use the SOEP (including the SOEP part of the Cross-National Equivalent File (CNEF), SOEP-IS, EU-SILC Clone, and LIS/LWS data) with the opportunity to present and discuss their work with their peers. Researchers of all disciplines (e.g., economics, demography, geography, political science, public health, psychology, and sociology) are invited to submit an abstract.
The theme of the conference and keynote speeches will be "Digitalization and its consequences at the individual and distributional level". We particularly welcome contributions examining the economic, political, psychological, and social consequences of technological change and digitalization at the workplace and in everyday life outside of work. We also encourage submissions outside of this thematic focus, in particular submissions using the longitudinal features of SOEP as well as papers on survey methodology and cross national comparative analysis.
