The Centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Science (CBESS) and the School of Economics at the University of East Anglia (UEA) will be holding a Workshop on “Textual Analysis in Economics and the Social Sciences” on May 28th and 29th in Norwich.
The purpose of this workshop is to present current research related to text analysis and its application to different economic and social sciences research fields. We are interested in work that applies and examines textual analysis methodologies. All papers including applications of text analysis will be considered.
The format of the conference will be a small number of relatively long talks, along with plenty of opportunities to discuss research with the goal of generating new projects. The keynote speakers are Kenneth Benoit (The London School of Economics), Joanna Bryson (The Hertie School of Governance) and Dan Sgroi (University of Warwick)
If you are interested in presenting a paper at this workshop, please email an abstract or paper to Lucia Murgia (L.Murgia@uea.ac.uk).
We will cover meal expenses for those who have a submitted paper accepted for presentation, as well as travel expenses (up to £500) and accommodation (2 nights). In the past we have been able to cover all travel expenses above this figure, but cannot guarantee this until other expenses have cleared. You are very welcome to attend the workshop whether or not your paper is accepted, although you will be responsible for any expenses.
The deadline for submission of presentations is the 1st of March, 2020, and we will let you know if your paper has been accepted for presentation by 15th of March 2020. A final program of the workshop and social program will be provided by 1st April 2020.
We look forward to welcome you at UEA!
