Behavioral Development Economics is one of the courses of the CEBEX Summer School on Behavioral Sciences 2021. You can attend face-to-face in Prague or online. The course takes place from 9 to 13 August.

CEBEX Summer School dates back to 2017 when we run the first one-week-long series of lectures focused on human decision-making. Since then, more than 150 students from more than 40 countries and 60 universities worldwide came to Prague and completed our courses.

Covid-19
You can choose if you attend in face-to-face or online form. In case you have paid face-to-face form, and the coronavirus situation will not allow us to run the summer school in this form, or if the restrictions will not allow you to come, you attend the summer school online and we refund the amount you paid extra for the face-to-face form.

Basic Info

Behavioral Development Economics represents a step forward from mainstream development economics. It gives a more psychologically realistic view of human behavior and acknowledges the critical role of social and psychological factors. This allows the approach to the major problems in developing countries to be more effective, as highlighted by policy-making and research focus in international development institutions and academia. Behavioral development economics is what development economics lacked to be more effective.
