Applications are invited for entry to our summer school on Empirical Methods for Macroeconomists (5-8 September 2022) at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. 

We invite you to join us for an exclusive summer school, Empirical Methods for Macroeconomists, from Monday 5 - Thursday 8 September 2022 at the triple accredited Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow.

Our courses, facilitated by leading experts in the field, will be of interest to those working in econometrics, macroeconomics, international economics, and financial economics. 

By attending, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance, stating the course and number of hours completed. There is no fee for the certificate.

Programme

Financial and Macroeconomic Connectedness: "A Network Approach to Measurement and Monitoring." Dr Kamil Yilmaz, Professor of Economics at Koç University, 5 - 6 September.

Asset Price Reactions to News: "High Frequency Methods and Applications". Refet S. Gürkaynak, Professor of Economics at Bilkent University and CEPR, 7 - 8 September.

Why attend?

Both courses will develop your technical and practical skills in policy-related topics in central banks, international organisations, national policy institutions and the private sector on forecasting and macroeconomic modeling.

They will:

• Train you in innovative quantitative tools in strong demand in policymaking
• Offer both theoretical and empirical applications relevant for real life needs

You can book the courses separately or when taken together, they will provide a different yet related set of econometrics/macroeconomics skills. Discounts are available for attendees taking both courses.
