University of Chile

The University of Chile is the largest institution of higher education in Chile and one of the oldest in Latin America. Notable alumni include the two nobel prices Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral, and 20 head of the state. The university focuses on generation, development, integration and communication of knowledge and culture in all areas. The faculties and institutes are distributed in 5 campuses and several experimental stations in Santiago and other regions of Chile. Currently the academic instituion has 14 faculties: Architecture and Urbanism, Arts, Agricultural Sciences, Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Foresty Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Law, Economy and Business, Philosophy and Humanities, Medicine and Dentistry. Moreover it counts with 4 interdisciplinary institutes: Public affairs, Communications, International Studies. Nutrition and Food Technology.
