The Lebanese University was established in 1953 and is currently one of
the only public academic institutions for higher learning and research in the
country. The university has seventeen prestigious faculties and two national
research institutions. The Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Business
Administration and Economical Sciences, and the Faculty of Law, Political
Science and Administrative Sciences are among the most popular disciplines at
the Lebanese University.Â
