Association for Social Policy

The Association for Social Policy (Verein für Socialpolitik) is a prestigious association of German-speaking economists, with members coming from more than twenty countries around the globe. The association was founded in 1873 and is currently one of the oldest economic society's in the world. The Association for Social Policy aims to develop the studies and understanding of social policy, economics, business administration, history, applied statistics, and other fields concerning economics. Gustav Schmoller is the chairman and founder of the well known society.
