KTH is now seeking to strengthen two accounting economists for the economics unit at the School of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health. The unit belongs to the school's operational support, which consists of five administrative units; economy, infrastructure, communication and education. The school as a whole has about 850 employees and a total of about 80 people work within the business support. At the financial unit we have 17 employees working in Flemingsberg, Solna, Valhallavägen and AlbaNova. The location for these services is on the Valhallavägen campus but when you will work for some of our research groups operating at Albanova and in Solna you will work on site there if necessary.

In your role as an accounting economist, you will manage the project accounting for some of the school's research groups and have close contact with the prefects, department heads and project managers and support them with financial support in their contacts with internal and external financiers. You report directly to the school's finance officer and participate in most of the existing duties at our finance department, such as:
- Project accounting and project management
- Support for researchers with financial backing in their contacts with internal and external financiers
- Reporting to financiers
- Ongoing accounting
- Budget and year-end work
You will also participate in the development of the business unit's routines and working methods with your colleagues. For the right person, there is the opportunity to be offered a supervisor role for a group of economists in the finance department.
We are looking for you who meet the following qualifications:
- MBA or other education and experience that we consider equivalent
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in speech as well as in writing
- Good knowledge of Excel
It is a merit if you have experience of work in government accounting, with the benefit of university or college. If you have experience in EU project reporting and previously worked in Unit4 / Agresso, this is also considered beneficial.
