Florida A&M University Department of Information Systems and Operations Management in the School of Business and Industry (SBI) invites applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management.
SBI offers a BS in Accounting, a BS in Business Administration with a major in Facilities Management, a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Finance, a BS in Economics with a minor in Business Administration, and a BS in Supply Chain Management. SBI also offers a Professional MBA, a One-Year MBA, an On-line MBA, and a MS in Supply Chain Management. The wide range of courses offered by SBI at the undergraduate and graduate levels allow for flexibility in teaching assignments.
The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Supply Chain from an AACSB accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in supply chain, an established academic research record, and teaching experience. Successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and fully participate in all activities that support SBI.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Critical thinking and problem solving competence;Ability to utilize the information gained from Analytics to enhance teaching and delivery of quantitative, production management and supply chain management courses; Knowledge of tools to facilitate research, distance learning and program conferencing opportunities in production and operations management; Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with SBI faculty, administrators, staff, and internal and external stakeholders; and ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with the needs, problems, and academic concerns of students.
This is a Faculty position.
