The Chair of Nursing is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all instruction and related program management activities in the nursing program. This position will report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Qualifications: Earned master’s degree in nursing. A minimum of five years of teaching experience in undergraduate nursing curriculum, Three years of experience in undergraduate nursing program administration which includes undergraduate curriculum development and/or program assessment, program accreditation and budgeting experiences Hold (or have the ability to obtain) an unencumbered Oregon license as a Registered Nurse. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills allowing for collaboration and communication with students, faculty and staff throughout the institution. Ability to educate and mentor adult learners as well as traditional students Ability to multi-task, work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience working with diverse populations
