Responsible for providing primary counseling, assessment, resume assistance, career planning and job search coaching to students and alumni of the various full-time graduate programs at the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. This position supports the mission in developing values-centered leaders for contemporary practice through education that is entrepreneurial in spirit, ethical in focus, and global in orientation. Through counseling and leadership, resources are provided that help students and alumni find career of service, purpose, and leadership. This position provides students with a life long relationship with Pepperdine and Graziadio.
Provide counseling and skill development to students in the full-time graduate business programs; work directly with students and alumni to guide them in planning and pursuing their future career, and support the school's efforts to improve ranking outcomes.
Conduct Corporate Outreach: This role reaches out to corporations and alumni to identify, develop and access career opportunities within a wide range of firms, both in the southern California area and beyond.
Responsible for Curriculum Development: This position develops curricula and delivers learning content in a variety of formats, including online and live classroom career courses and workshops, to enhance the skill sets of students and alumni to help them to cultivate and secure career opportunities.
Maintain Database: Data collection and maintenance is required to monitor student/alumni activities and expectations, and to track internship and full time job placement opportunities, which directly impact school ranking outcomes.
Provide Resources/Assessments/Resource Library: This role identifies and shares existing resources and creates/cultivates new resources, materials, and information to support student job search, career planning, professional development, skill/knowledge enhancement, and placement.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: Undergraduate degree; Minimum two years formal counseling, training/development, or corporate recruitment experience. Superior skill in counseling both individually and with groups; Program development experience; Must be knowledgeable in career counseling theories and techniques; Google docs/sheets/calendar/email/hangouts, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Personal Computer, expertise in Internet Search and utilization, TV/VCR and teleconferencing equipment.
Preferred: Masters degree preferred in Counseling, Business, or some related area; Previous experience working in career services and/or corporate relations is strongly preferred; Course work and/or certification in testing and career development highly desirable. Presentation skills, classroom teaching, data/analytics/metrics, business acumen, project management, organizational savvy, ability to work with a wide variety of individuals across the business school and university (staff, faculty and senior level administration).
Salary: Commensurate with experience
This is a restricted, exempt, 40 hour per week position.
