Commissioning and Qualification Engineering Intern - Summer 2020

Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.
Reporting to a Commissioning and Qualification Leader, selected individual will provide team support as directed. Duties provide meaningful work experience and business knowledge to college students in their chosen field.
Perform routine aspects of commissioning and qualification tasks requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
Develop and review commissioning & qualification guidance documents.
Manage and track the status of guidance documents.
Issue guidance documents for review and address comments.
Learn about the mechanics of user requirements, design specifications, commissioning & qualification, planning, good documentation practices, etc.
Support remote protocol development work for pharmaceutical clients.
Collect and prepare data for reporting purposes.
Assist with staffing and business opportunity updates.
Providing support to Engineering staff members as needed.
Minimum GPA of 2.8 preferred.
Previous engineering internship experience is preferred.
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
SharePoint experience is preferred.
