Position Summary

Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.

Reporting to a Commissioning and Qualification Leader, selected individual will provide team support as directed. Duties provide meaningful work experience and business knowledge to college students in their chosen field.

  • Perform routine aspects of commissioning and qualification tasks requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.

  • Develop and review commissioning & qualification guidance documents.

  • Manage and track the status of guidance documents.

  • Issue guidance documents for review and address comments.

  • Learn about the mechanics of user requirements, design specifications, commissioning & qualification, planning, good documentation practices, etc.

  • Support remote protocol development work for pharmaceutical clients.

  • Collect and prepare data for reporting purposes.

  • Assist with staffing and business opportunity updates.

  • Providing support to Engineering staff members as needed.


  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 preferred.

  • Previous engineering internship experience is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • SharePoint experience is preferred.
