Your role:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our company as a Data Governance Idoc Specialist Idoc Specialist role is to monitor the flow of data via the critical interfaces used by/within Life Science Master Data. This specifically requires the working of all edits/errors associated with each interface to resolution.  The Idoc Specialist is also responsible for identifying trending issues, working with IT on permanent solutions, and documenting applicable process changes/creation.

 

This role is task driven role using the queue of failed idocs as a work list to be resolved. You will be responsible to work failed Idoc’s to a point of resolution working with various cross-functional teams.

 

You are expected to set strategic directions and managing good data practices, including areas such as data ownership, data movement standards, risk management approaches and data cataloguing standards by supporting interfaces related to Master Data. You will provide operational guidance and support when you ensure that set data governance policies, standards etc. are adhered to. You further support the business in working along the mandated process. In addition, you will drive the continuous improvement of our data practices where you challenge each part of the data governance process to make sure the right level of governance is applied, and processes are fit-for purpose and support the success of our business. You will act as a recognized leader in setting up good data practices that leverage your existing industry experience. You will collaborate with the different Business groups of Life Science. You will educate our partners in the respective business domains and functions on data governance - data quality, compliance, security and privacy.

Willingness to travel 10% domestic and internationally, with ability to travel on short notice

 

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of master data within an ERP and its distribution to connected systems for downstream process consumption.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand global, strategic objectives and identify key priorities
  • Established proficiency in Data Management Systems (MDG-M,SAP WM,Oracle,PIM’s, etc)
  • Applies quantitative techniques to challenging, real-world problems
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills in global environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility, work independently and master new tasks quickly
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Solid attention to detail and Project Management skills
  • Ability to liaison, influence, collaborates and communicates with all levels of employees and management
  • Ability to work as a business partner to identify new and innovative ways to service our customers
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for issues of a moderate to complex scope
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Access and Relational Database Experience required
  • Great communication skills
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Data-oriented personality
