Finance/Group Finance/COO Finance

As a Finance Business Partner at our Blades factory in Brighton, you will be part of the factory management team with a dotted reporting line to the factory manager and a solid reporting line to the COO Finance / Blades Finance team anchored within Vestas Group Finance.

You will be located at the factory and act as the on-site finance resource supporting, facilitating and driving a large range of different financial- and controlling related tasks and projects. The primary stakeholder is the factory manager and the factory management team, why the ability to act as a proactive and value adding business partner is a priority. Operating in the Finance organization in Vestas, you will need strong developed organizational and influential skills with the ability to manage month end reporting deadlines by leveraging on the functional support from the matrix organization of Vestas. You will be part of the Global Blades Finance team with colleagues located at Blades factories in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany, India, China and Windsor, US as well as you will be interacting with colleagues in the central COO Finance team in Denmark, our regional finance team in Portland, US and our shared service finance team in Manila.

Responsibilities

  • Be a proactive and value-adding member of the factory management team by highlighting risks and opportunities and providing recommendations for decision making to improve the factory performance
  • Perform monthly financial closing and generate Performance reporting on behalf of the factory
  • Follow up on KPI performance and facilitate monthly Performance Reviews with factory management team
  • Conduct ongoing controlling and root cause analysis of the financials where needed to ensure quality in actuals. Perform / facilitate corrective actions if necessary.
  • Prepare yearly budgets and monthly full year forecast for the factory and follow up on deviations to safeguard the forecast accuracy and stability
  • Responsible for Performance Management in the factory supporting stakeholders in decision making and realistic target setting
  • Facilitate and secure business accountability for the cost-out initiatives in the factory

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with accounting, budgeting, planning and auditing
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of a manufacturing environment
  • Strong PC/computer skills (Excel & MS Office) required, ERP knowledge highly preferred (Vestas is using SAP)

Competencies

  • Strong developed organizational and influential skills with the ability to manage month end reporting deadlines by leveraging on the functional support from the matrix organization
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make business case comparisons for internal presentation
  • Ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environment managing multiple deliverables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required (level of communication within company โ€“ with team, stakeholders, all levels, etc.)
