Reports To: FP&A Associate ManagerPosition Summary: The position is a key role to lead all FP&A activities for one or multiple critical business divisions of Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) in Thermo Fisher scientific in Japan. As a strategic business partner, the position will closely work with a senior director level Commercial Leader in Japan as well as global/regional finance counterparts for assigned business divisions, and contributes to the business divisions’ performance improvement by providing insightful financial analysis and support for execution. Job Responsibilities

  • Forecast, track, analyze revenue and commercial P/L as well as preparing monthly/quarterly business review package
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance
  • Communicate with Commercial Leader for financial performance
  • Measure and identify opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Support preparing annual operating plan, monthly and mid-term forecasts, and long-term strategic plan
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Perform complex financial analysis to support management decision making process
  • Liaise with Global division/Commercial/Finance and APAC Commercial/Finance teams
  • Collaborate as a key team member to build a cohesive, high-performance team
  • Attributes/Skills
    • Be able to work in a fast paced environment and has change management experience
    • A self-starter with highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
    • Ability to influence activities of peers
    • 1-3 years experiences in FP&A or Accounting would be plus
    • Strong command in English and Japanese
    • Hands-on experience in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (Hyperion)
