GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - Competition Number 19-90

KPU International at Kwantlen Polytechnic University has an exciting opportunity for a one-year, full-time Global Development Manager position.  S/he will be responsible for assisting with the University’s overall internationalization initiatives, participating in strategic planning efforts and assisting with management of the overall fiscal operation of international partners and projects with universities, colleges and institutes outside of Canada; K-12 schools abroad; relevant associations and organizations, among others. The Global Development Manager will also coordinate the functions and activities of the establishment, implementation and maintenance of international articulation agreements.  

The ideal candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Relations, Cross-Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields;  and minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in international related work, preferably in the area(s) of international education, event planning, project management or leadership (or other relevant fields), demonstrating an increasing level of responsibility.  Combination of education and working experiences will be considered.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively in English with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders at all levels (internal, domestic, international).  Full fluency in Mandarin is also required. 

This position requires the ability to travel extensively, both in Canada and internationally, as well as work some evenings and weekends in order to attend and execute international student events and activities.  This position is based on our Surrey Campus, however frequent travel between campuses and throughout the communities that KPU serves will be required.  A driver’s license and access to a vehicle are considered an asset.
