Launch and Marketing Excellence:Novartis UK has embarked on a journey to transform our launch philosophy and to take an industry leading position. The vision is to accelerate launch effectiveness and readiness by reinforcing our launch fundamentals and building on new capabilities. This involves developing a launch excellence process that will provide Integrated Brand Teams (IBTs) with the support and guidance to unleash the full potential of new product launches from -30 months. You will be the expert in launch preparation and implementation and will be critical in providing the guidance and “know how” to realise this vision across the UK organisation. Your responsibilities:Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Working with the Global Launch Excellence Team and across the Business Franchises you will provide insights around best practices and innovative approaches, collected through thoughtful and honest analysis of past launches both internal and external to the Company and the Industry.• In addition you shall act as the first point of challenge and review for pre-launch plans, be the authority around implementation of pre-launch processes (targeting, segmentation etc) and provide consultation and mentorship to IBTs.• You will take responsibility for developing a systematic and common approach to the pre-launch activities that the Launch IBTs teams will utilise. As part of this responsibility you will actively monitor and assess progress and guide teams as necessary to deliver on key milestones.• As a proven authority in marketing you will drive marketing excellence and development in the UK organisation. You will work closely with the global marketing excellence function to lead a standardised approach to marketing planning and implementation, and drive innovative thinking throughout the marketing functions.
• Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline required.• Minimum of 8+ years of in-line, early product development, innovation, global pharmaceutical marketing or related functions/fields.• Strong understanding of how a broad range of functions comes together to effectively develop early launch strategies and strong launch planning and readiness and extensive marketing experience across life-cycle for in-line brands.• Experience developing or adjusting processes to enable a clear pathway for others to enable them to efficiently and effectively complete their work and provide strong deliverables.• Proven experience of mentorship and people development in role.
