SUMMARYThe HR Manager-Business Partner (HR Manager) will proactively assess and anticipate HR-related needs and integrated solutions with a focus on employee engagement. The position formulates partnerships across HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the core values and business objectives of the organization.The HR Manager will perform human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee engagement (recruitment, resourcing, retention, and related communications), workforce training, technology management, compliance, benefits/compensation administration, and health and safety. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.· Manages and drives employee relations and engagement activities (e.g., recruitment, retention, rewards, internal communication, corporate programs, etc.) to meet HR and corporate workforce goals in collaboration with the Director, Human Resources. This includes corporate office-based employees and regionally based employees.· Develops strong partnerships with related vendors, departments and executives.· In collaboration with Director, Human Resources, drives the development and maintenance of Human Resources policies and procedures to accomplish employee engagement objectives and ensure adherence to all Federal, State and local employment laws and regulations while effecting continual improvements. This includes recommending new and innovative approaches as well as corrective actions. Assists with the administration and implementation of these policies and procedures.· Contributes and/or develops workforce plans such as compensation, performance, promotion and termination plan in collaboration with the Director, Human Resources. Requires an understanding of external customer trends and issues in the industry that could potentially influence employee engagement. · Plans and directs local and regional company sponsored events related to employee engagement.· Partners in company-wide programs and initiatives including but not limited to salary review, workforce planning, organizational change, on boarding, job analysis, new hire and exit processes, selection, performance, diversity and leadership initiatives.· Consults with workforce to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach following appropriate employment law, SOP and policies. .· Manages, analyzes and reports employee engagement related KPIs, industry trends and organizational charts in an efficient, accurate and visually appealing manner on a regular basis (minimally quarterly) to senior management.· Line management of HR staff (e.g., administrative, recruitment, etc.) as assigned. Works with Director, Human Resources on compensation, salary adjustments, promotions, disciplinary actions and other related tasks concerning employee evaluations and performance for assigned direct reports.· Responds to employee relation issues such as, questions regarding company employment policies, verification of employment. Ensures related record keeping is up-to-date and accurate.· Responsible for the management and maintenance of ProTrials Injury and Illness Prevention Program.· Keeps up to date in employment related regulations and business practices and escalates changes that may influence ProTrials practices or policies to executive team and department heads as appropriate.· In partnership with Management, develops new job descriptions, salary analysis and completes FLSA analysis to ensure proper classification. Maintains job descriptions master document and revision tracker. · System Administration for ProTrials Compensation Plan and Pay Grades within HRIS System.· Oversight of the administration of Recognition and Awards. Recommends changes and updates to increase retention and recognition of top performers. · Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills that drive employee engagement across all company levels.· Successful change management experience and able to effectively collaborate across functional departments.· Proactive and successful conflict and workforce management skills· Strong attention to detail· Highly innovative with a focus on efficiency and successful business outcomes.· Advanced proficiency with Office 365, HR related technologies (e.g., HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems), and knowledge of working within a variety of databases (e.g., CRMs, payroll,etc.).· Exhibits flexibility with changing priorities, works well under pressure and is able to meet multiple and competing deadlines using a variety of strategies including proactive resource planning and management.· Ability to use independent judgment and discretion in advising management in matters related to employee relations including matters of confidentiality and employee privacy.· The employee shall always demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and management. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE· Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field and 5 years’ related experience in human resource administration, or recruitment, or combination of work experience and professional HR Management certification.· Working knowledge of employment regulations involving wage and hour, benefits, employment and staffing, and employee relations preferred.
