What you will accomplish
The Lecturer position provides an exciting opportunity to develop an academic career in Economics. You can build a research agenda reinforcing existing research strengths in the Economics department, as well as complementary areas of research strength elsewhere at James Cook University including environmental and public health science, where skills in economic modeling and validation techniques will push the research envelope. Playing a synergetic role in bringing together various parts of the JCU community through scholarly activity will ensure your success in the role whilst building an international reputation in Agriculture and Natural Resource Economics or Health Economics exploiting and extending your quantitative research skill set.

A PhD in Economics or significant progress towards one is required coupled with an established publication record in Agriculture and Natural Resource Economics or Health Economics demonstrating strong quantitative research skills and ability to link with JCU’s research interests in environmental science or public health science.
