MANAGER, TOTAL COMPENSATION - Competition Number 19-96
Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) currently has an exciting opportunity to join the Human Resources team in the capacity of Manager, Total Compensation.
Reporting to the Director, People Services, the Manager, Total Compensation provides leadership, oversight and support for all compensation, health and benefits & pension matters. The position assumes a lead role in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a total compensation strategy to support the achievement of KPU’s mission, goals and objectives which includes leadership of the Health & Benefits Specialist team. The Manager, Total Compensation provides advice and support in the areas of pension, benefits and compensation programs to employees and University management.
This position is located on the Langley campus. Travel between campuses will be required.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in the area of Human Resources, Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits (CEBS) designation is considered an asset. Minimum of 5 years current experience overseeing a large, comprehensive total compensation program in a complex multi-union environment. Demonstrated knowledge of statutory and insured benefit plans, as well as provincial pension plans. Proven analytical skills and experience working with real time data, analysis and intelligence. Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to identify and recommend creative solutions. The successful candidate must be customer service focused and demonstrate proficiency in establishing and managing relationships. A self-starter who thrives in a fun, dynamic and action-oriented environment.
