PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Primary responsibilities include the development and execution of marketing activities to support the sales of testing and research services performed by the SGS Brookings laboratory and SGS US Field Research operations. • This position will need to gain a full understanding of the markets, customers, and services offered within the SGS US Agriculture, Food & Life business, with a focus on Seed & Crop testing and research, as well as Food testing and regulatory consulting. • This is a full time position located in Brookings, SD. REPORTING TO • Business Manager SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate promotional resources and activities including brochures/fliers, email blasts, swag, advertisements, newsletters, press releases, and trade show and conference displays, ensuring consistency with SGS guidelines. • Actively participate in social media marketing and develop creative ways for delivering messaging. • Support the design and creation of materials and content, providing a continuous stream of relevant and targeted communication to customers and the broader SGS team. • Create graphics and other materials used for the promotion of SGS services. • Collect and summarize information such as market trends and competition. • Assist in the development of sales presentations and develop selling tools for SGS services. • Create and convey brand messages and improve brand awareness. • Coordinate trade shows and events, including reserving booths, arranging sponsorships, registering attendees, planning booth setup, and assisting administrative assistant in travel arrangements. • Work with global marketing team to draft and proof advertising and marketing materials, including ads, brochures, and mailers while adhering to SGS guidelines • Assist in updating online content. • Strengthen and maintain contact database. • Coordinate site tours, both internal and external, including creating/distributing agendas, arranging necessary participants and resources, and ensuring any proper marketing or branding items are available. • Work with SGS colleagues in other businesses and regions to share best practices and increase opportunities for cross-selling. • Ensure quality and confidentiality of client and company information and take an active role in updating Quality System. • Assist in other areas of the company, as needed. • Promote responsibility, good work habits, a positive work environment and improve customer service. • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct. PROFILE • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required. Minimum 1 year in marketing experience preferred. • Must be innovative and adaptable. • Excellent attention to detail and awareness of design principles required. • Capability to utilize a variety of different software programs required. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Strong creative, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills needed • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills required • Ability to handle a variety of projects effectively, efficiently and with confidentiality • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and within a team environment • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
