Founded in 1460, the University of Basel is the oldest university in Switzerland and one of the oldest universities in Europe. The Faculty of Business and Economics invites applications for a position as Max Geldner Assistant Professor in Quantitative Economic History / Cliometrics.
The position is a non-tenure track assistant professorship to begin on August 1, 2020. The professorship is funded by the Max Geldner Foundation, Basel. The position is for five years.
The position involves teaching degree courses at the Bachelor’s and/or Master’s level and contributing to the faculty’s doctoral program. Teaching can be held in German or English.
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in economics or a related area. The research profile should be quantitative economic history (cliometrics).
