Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position in Economics within the broad research theme “Job insecurity, unemployment, use of health services and mental health condition”. The position will be based at the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan where the project is coordinated by Prof. Carlo Fiorio and Prof. Massimiliano Bratti.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics earned within the date of stipulation of the individual contract and anyway within 28 February 2018, and will be requested to carry out research at top international standard.
Excellent working knowledge of English, research experience in Applied Economics, Health Economics and Labour Economics, the ability to apply econometric methods to large databases, and good knowledge of the main econometric software packages (e.g., STATA, R) are preferred requirements.
Active participation in the research team and interactions with the other partners of the project are expected. The fellowship does not involve any teaching.
Length and salary
Two-year position, possibly renewable for two more years.
For Italian citizens the gross salary is 21,000 Euros per year, and the fellowship is tax-free. Only social security contributions are due. The net salary is therefore about 18,780 Euros per year.
