DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Adult Learning, Certified Public Manager designation, Master's degree in Public Administration / Education or related field preferred.
MINIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years experience planning and managing educational professional development programs.
- Require significant experience developing or teaching online courses.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Prefer experience working in the public sector.
- Prefer experience teaching professional development programs including significant knowledge of adult learning.
The Leadership, Management and Other Workplace Skills program area within the Division of Continuing Studies offers a broad and evolving portfolio of core and cutting-edge non-credit programs that assist professionals to be successful in their work. This is an opportunity to join a team of highly committed staff as we build on our foundation of over a hundred leadership programs annually and restrategize our offerings and modalities to achieve significant growth in both revenue, reach and learning impact. The holder of this position will be an important team member that will be pivotal in creating new programs and helping to innovate and explore entrepreneurial approaches to marketing and delivering high-quality professional development programs that extend the University of Wisconsin-Madison brand. They will also oversee the existing portfolio, including the Certified Public Manager Program.
