Your Mission

For over 40 years, DiaSorin has been on a mission on five continents to develop, produce and commercialize diagnostic tests for a wide range of clinical areas. Our tests are designed for hospitals and private testing laboratories, in the markets of immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics.

Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions

Provides leadership to the DiaSorin Inc sales team in the assigned sales region to drive consistent and quantifiable results through the sales discipline. Directs the implementation and communication of all segment and product sales programs, strategies and tactics in the assigned sales region. Identifies new sales opportunities through in-depth market and customer understanding. Leverages sales opportunities by prioritizing the implementation of sales initiatives. Tracks performance and reports results to supervisor.

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing a regional field sales organization to achieve and exceed sales goals in all market segments. The company’s product portfolio includes capital instrumentation, reagents and service.

Supports applicable regulations including ISO, Local, State, and/or Federal Requirements.

Develop and implement sales strategies from stated business objectives and marketing goals within assigned market segments and geography. Establishes appropriate territory assignments to effectively meet customers’ requirements and the needs of the business. Sets sales objectives for the sales team in his or her assigned region including territory quotas, performance criteria, and professional development initiatives. Work with assigned field sales team as coach, manager and leader to maximize customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and the achievement of business goals. Prepare regular analysis of sales and product line trends in assigned region. Keep sales team, senior staff and other employees informed of key customer activities. Reports regional sales results on weekly and monthly basis to supervisor. Tracks sales representative performance to plan and reports results to supervisor. Drives adoption and accuracy of Salesforce.com throughout the region. Report competitive intelligence to senior staff on an ad hoc basis.

Technical Competencies

Work with Marketing Management to develop and implement key product line initiatives. Minimum travel expectations up to 75% of the time and may potentially at times require more. Live the Company Values. Actively participate in meetings, training sessions and other sales planning sessions. Maintain internal and external client goodwill and satisfaction. Control selling expenses. Effectively manage priorities to achieve stated objectives. Maintain proper customer records. Effectively work in and lead team, in addition to collaborating with leadership peers in Service and Applications teams. Develop short and long term sales plans to drive sustainable growth across all segments with assigned region. Negotiate pricing agreements that balance the needs of the organization with the needs of the client. Achieve sales revenue and performance objectives.

Skills

Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and Company EHS policies. Violations of EHS regulations or policies will be handled in accordance with the established Company disciplinary process. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Science from a four-year college or university. Minimum of three to five years sales management or like experience with proven successful track record of managing a field sales organization on a national, area or regional scope. Individual must possess strong analytical and strategic planning skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both detail and high-level orientation, and be able to manage multiple projects at one time. Experience negotiating contracts with hospitals and health systems. Demonstrated capability to sell or manage an organization that sells a broad range of technical products and/or services to multiple buyers within a single institution. Experience in dealing with senior level healthcare executives. Knowledge of infectious diseases.
