The contract is for a limited period of three years.
Job Description: The successful applicant will work within the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) funded project “The Localized Geography of Foreign Aid: A Disaggregated Analysis at the Grid-Cell Level”. The research project investigates the impact of foreign aid on economic prosperity and conflict incidence at the subnational level. The position is designed to allow junior scientists to earn higher qualifications, and provides the opportunity for completion of doctoral studies.
- completed excellent university master’s degree in economics
- excellent skills in econometrics
- initial experience in conducting economic analyses independently
- good English language skills in speaking and writing
- knowledge in the use of Stata, R, Geographic Information System (GIS) software, and Python programming would be desirable
- sound knowledge in the area of economic growth and/or development economics
