The ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim is looking to fill the following position in the Research Department “Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics”
Researcher & Data Scientist (f/m/d)

As a successful applicant, you will contribute to the scientific research agenda of the department. Supporting the further development of ZEW’s research data centre as well as the implementation of the Business and Economic Research Data Center, which is a joint endeavour of University of Mannheim and ZEW funded by Ministry of Arts and Sciences of Baden-Württemberg, will be your prime task. You will conduct scientific research with the goal of publication in high-level scientific journals and engage in economic policy advising projects with high visibility among economic decision makers and the general public.
This position is aimed at university graduates with a very good Master’s degree in in data science, economics, business informatics, geoinformatics and/or similar subjects. We also expect a solid knowledge of empirical methods or econometrics as well as knowledge of standard software like Stata, R, Python. Your ability to capture facts accurately and concisely and strong English writing skills complete your profile. German language skills are appreciated.
