The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is New Zealand's central bank. Our vision is to be a great team and the best central bank. We operate with passion, integrity, innovation and inclusiveness. Our main objective is to promote a sound and dynamic monetary and financial system and to ultimately raise New Zealand's economic wellbeing.

The role

In this role you will unlock new ideas for monetary policy and effectively communicate your insights to both policy practitioners and the academic community. You will push the frontiers of economic knowledge and have the opportunity to publish your best work in scholarly journals.

About you

You will have a strong macroeconomic modelling background and an interest in monetary economics in a small open economy. Your strong communication skills have seen you delivering usable insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Your network of academic relationships will give the Bank access to new ideas and tools. You are motivated about the contribution you can make to New Zealand's economic wellbeing by contributing across the Bank's policy objectives.
