As many as 100,000 patients with Leukemia and ITP could be positively impacted by the West Regional Marketer role this year alone! The Hematology Regional Marketer is a commercial field-based member of the Hematology Franchise Marketing teams and is responsible for engaging CML/ITP/SAA/AML /AdvSM Thought Leaders/Medical Experts and for identifying/developing product advocacy within assigned geography. This person works closely with Brand team colleagues as well as with Sales, Training, Medical and other key stakeholders. The Hematology Regional Marketer would support the Brand team on marketing projects requiring involvement from Thought Leaders/Medical Experts and would be fully accountable for identified marketing projects and contributions to the Marketing teams.This is a remote position. 50-60% travel required including some weekend travel. This role will need to reside in the US and mirrors the Southeast Hematology Region (mainly focused on Texas and Ala-bama). Ideally the candidate would reside near a major airport due to extensive travel expectations. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Sales Expert Advisor Engagement• Work with Brand, Sales Leadership, Account Management, Strategy & Business Development and Medical as a primary point of contact with national and regional CML/ITP/SAA/AML /AdvSM Thought Leaders/Medical Experts• Develop and execute an engagement plan with Thought Leaders/Medical Experts in a com-mercial capacity• Act as a primary point of contact for Thought Leaders/Medical Experts with the commercial side of the Novartis organization• Lead set up of Thought Leader/Medical Experts engagements with Novartis colleagues during medical conferences• Identify and develop product advocates in the CML/ITP/SAA/AML /AdvSM Thought Lead-ers/Medical Expert communityMarketing • Provide insights from Thought Leader/Medical Expert engagements including conferences.• Collaborate with Brand teams on other marketing projects involving input from Thought Lead-ers/Medical Experts • Support the Brand team on Peer-to-Peer initiatives including identification of speakers, as-sessment and development of speakers in accordance with Novartis policy • Compliantly establish and communicate brand product profile to Thought Leaders/Medical Experts in support of appropriate patient treatmentOther• Maintain a thorough understanding of brand strategy and key business drivers• Stay abreast of competitive environment and treatment paradigms• Attend local, regional and national medical meetings where CML/ITP/SAA/AML/AdvSM con-tent is being presented• Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as requested (e.g. regional area sup-port, roll out of marketing tactics) The Novartis Group of Companies are Equal Opportunity Employers and take pride in maintaining a diverse environment. • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred • Travel: This is a remote position. 50-60% travel required including some weekend travel.Required Experience:• Pharmaceutical sales experience required• Extensive Sales management or account management required for an AD level position, field sales experience required for a Sr. Manager level position (level will be based on experience)• Minimum 5 years of Oncology experience strongly preferred• Experience engaging with Thought Leader/Medical Experts required; account management or sales management experience preferred• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Self-starter with a strong track record of success • Strong project management expertise and the ability to exercise informal leadership across matrix teams and vendor partners*This is a remote position.
