Strategic Procurement Leader
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the COO, to provide high level strategic direction for key supplier and Partner relationships and agreements.
Ensure McLaren Applied has a focused spend on a small number of strategically important, approved suppliers to ensure the organisation can leverage full commercial advantage from these relationships.
Provide strategic Sourcing alignment with Finance, the Lines of Business and Product Management teams to successfully execute the McLaren Applied Strategic Business Plan.
Support, & work with, the Supply Chain team to ensure its resources are focused on a small number of key supply chain partners.

To develop and successfully deliver a Strategic Sourcing Strategy for McLaren Applied.
To define, select, negotiate and own the key global Strategic Supplier relationships the business requires to execute the Strategic Business Plan
To identify the right-sized global Supply Chain for the successful delivery of our current and future product strategy defined in the Strategic Business Plan.
Review of high spend supplier contracts leading up to renewal dates.
Negotiate contractual agreements that maximise benefit for MA.
To identify and select best in class supplier group for delivery of the Applied Strategy.
To drive all supplier commercial negotiations covering cost, supply, and all vendor funding agreements in close collaboration with the Applied FD.
Challenge supply chain norms to generate out of the box opportunities for cost savings and supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate
Deliver supply chain cost forecasting or revenue opportunities based on trend analysis and market conditions
Develop and maintains relationships with executives and senior executives at suppliers
Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology
Collaborate with Product Management, Supplier Quality and Engineering teams to maintain a supplier sourcing strategy that aligns technology, business requirements and roadmap with supplier capabilities
Assess current and future sourcing requirements of the business
Conduct market and business analysis with consideration given to product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and strategic business objectives
Tools and processes
Introduce affordability analysis and appropriate financial modelling for example to ensure product specification and gross margin match forecast and planning
Working with the IT Director, to define and implement the tools and processes needed in the Supply Chain and Production functions to execute cost effectively against the Business Plan.
Revenue, Cash, EBITDA, Profit, Customer alongside other which will include:
Size and Quality of Supplier base
Spend with Supplier base
Design to Delivery timelines
Quality performance across all reporting teams
On time Delivery
