My client is a leading engineering company in Norwich. They are looking for a SHipping/Production Planner to join their busy team. Job role is: • Primary role function is to ensure that all goods leave site in a timely manner with the correct documentation • Secondary role is to support colleagues with manufacturing activities across all areas of the business. Main Duties & Responsibilities • Managing international and continental shipments. This includes raising all relevant paperwork, such as certificates of origin, packing lists, invoices, packing declarations and wood compliance forms. Documentation needs to be of the correct standard in order to pass customs requirements. • Arranging collections and deliveries to and from the business using couriers and freight forwarders, ensuring delivery schedules are met at the best price. • Carrying out accurate administrative processes prior to shipment, such as allocating sales orders to shipments, checking shipping memos, checking open sales order reports and checking invoices. • Trouble shooting any shipping issues that may arise in an effective manner that is to the satisfaction of our customers. • Ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and practice relating to shipping and freight. • Planning of manufacturing Work Orders and creating material purchase requisitions ensuring that material delivery dates are supportive of the manufacturing activity Experience Required: Essential: • Excellent customer service and admin skills Desirable • Have experience of working in a Planning role • Have previously worked within a manufacturing environment Please email cv's along with a covering email/letter Job Type: Permanent, Contract, Temporary.
