Assistant professor / lecturer
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a one-year visiting faculty position in Economics starting August 15, 2021. The teaching load is 7 courses, 3-4 or 4-3. Courses include Microeconomics Principles, Global Macroeconomic Principles, and Managerial Economics. A possible elective is Economics of Gender and Ethnicity. In the fall, it is anticipated that the Visitor will have two preparations. In the winter perhaps three preparations (at least one from fall). Most of the courses are face-to-face. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Master’s degree in Economics or a Bachelors degree in economics and a related master’s degree. Master’s degree must be earned by August 15, 2021.

The Department of Economics is in the School of Business Administration. The Department offers three degrees in economics (BA BS, and BS in Business Economics) and two degrees in Actuarial Sciences (BS and BS in Business Actuarial Sciences) in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The department also offers a minor in economics. Most of our graduates obtain jobs in SE Michigan.
