The Faculty of Management and Economics of Ruhr-Universität Bochum invites applications for the position of a tenured full-time Professor (W3) in Public and Regional Economics commencing 1 April 2022. The future holder of the post will represent the subject in research and teaching.  Participation in the DFG-funded Research Training Group „Regional disparities and economic policy“ in cooperation with TU Dortmund and Universität Duisburg-Essen as well as in the UAR-competence field „Empirical Economic Research“ and a focus on applied empirical research is expected.

Duties include research and teaching in public and regional economics. We expect the willingness to teach in English and German, to promote junior researchers and Ph.D. students and to cooperate with the „Zentrum für ökonomische Bildung (ZföB)“. We welcome active collaboration with the RWI – Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung and the Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ).

A positive evaluation as a junior professor or an equivalent academic achievement and evidence of teaching skills are required. The willingness to perform administrative duties at the faculty and at the university level is assumed.
