The Accounting Major at Lasell has a professional focus, rooted in Connected Learning, that seeks to educate students by promoting self-expression, academic exploration and critical thinking in academic, civic, and career-relevant areas.
Students develop the financial knowledge and analytical skills necessary in understanding the various components of business organizations and the role of accounting within them. The Accounting major provides a flexible program of study relevant to all areas of accounting, with a strong emphasis on practical accounting work.
Students will be prepared to gain industry certifications such as the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and the CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
