The post-baccalaureate certificate in Homeland Security is a 12-credit online program surveying the definitions of homeland security and defense. This program is designed for students from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds. Through the Homeland Security certificate program, students will develop competencies and working knowledge in the following areas: a) Homeland Security strategies b) National Security intelligence c) Terrorism and national security issues d) Technology in Homeland Security e) Major legislation facing Homeland Security f) Key actors and interactions This certificate program will prepare students for a myriad of career opportunities within the field of homeland security, including security management specialists, security managers, management and intelligence analysts, immigration and customs inspectors, criminal investigators and special agents, transportation security screeners, protective service workers, and military services workers. The Homeland Security certificate is offered fully online and available to students in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Washington State.
