MA Economics at the University of Surrey
Designed to let you pursue a career in economics, regardless of your previous degree subject this intensive conversion course will enable you to develop the necessary skills for a successful career in this exciting and rewarding field.
Offered as either a full-time or part-time course, our MA Economics will give you a thorough education in the theories and applications of economics. You’ll study the core principles of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, gaining a critical awareness of current economic problems and insights. You’ll also develop the ability to combine relevant analytical techniques with insightful data analysis to produce economic conclusions.
This course consists of eight taught modules and an advanced project. The range of optional modules will allow you to shape your course to match your personal interests and career aspirations. You can choose from an extensive list of topics which currently includes international finance, risk management, energy and development.

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. English language requirements - IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each element.
