The Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals Engineering Management program will prepare you to succeed in high-level leadership positions as you take on increased technical responsibilities.
While management courses serve as the core of the Engineering Management program at Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals, students work within technical concentrations that span thirteen specific engineering disciplines. The curriculum provides a unique opportunity to build both technical and leaderships skills in order to contribute to a multi-disciplinary engineering management team. Instructors are experienced technical leaders and executives who discuss real-world challenges in formats that are convenient for professionals working at the nation's top engineering firms and R&D organizations.
Upon completing the degree program, students will:
Demonstrate the ability to professionally communicate (verbally and written) as a technical leader.
Demonstrate the skills to take on engineering leadership roles with a diverse team of technical professionals as demonstrated by team assignments of two technical case studies.
Demonstrate the ability to develop a corporate strategic technology plan as demonstrated by completing an actual plan as demonstrated in the case studies.
