MSc in Economics and Finance
The two-year Master of Science in Economics and Finance at the University of Bergamo responds to the growing complexity of the economic-financial system in the era of digitalization, information, and big data.
The MSc in Economics and Finance equips students with a solid foundation in Economics and Finance, state-of-the-art quantitative tools, and frontier knowledge in the chosen fields of specialization. Our graduates will acquire a solid understanding of economics, mathematics, statistics, and specific programming skills necessary to analyze and manage financial, insurance, and pension products and operate in the financial markets. More specifically, through two different curricula, graduates in Economics and Finance acquire specific skills in the most recent finance topics, with particular attention to sustainable finance, (big) data analytics, and risk analysis.
The MSc in Economics and Finance allows students to carry out exchange programs abroad and internships in companies or institutions, both in Italy and abroad. Students will have the opportunity of being involved in workshops, seminars, learning activities, and hackathons. Master's courses are entirely taught in English, favoring international students and international visiting professors.
The Master in Economics and Finance is an official two-year degree, with 120 ECTS (complying with the European directives for higher education). The program is divided into coursework, participation in workshops, and the writing of a Master thesis. Students applying for the two-year Master of Science in Economics and Finance need to have completed a three-year university degree (180 ECTS), usually a Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Management, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
