The Graduate Certificate in Public Administration Leadership program is designed for experienced professionals who want to build leadership credentials in specific public administration areas. Taught by an all professor-practitioner faculty, this real-world driven program enables students to gain leadership certification in judicial administration or law enforcement; or, to select courses from multiple areas to fulfill current or future workforce development needs. The program teaches advanced problem-solving skills to identify, assess, evaluate, and act on pressing political, economic, social, legal, and environmental concerns faced by communities and governments. Students will develop the confidence and competencies needed to implement innovative best practices grounded in effectiveness, efficiency, transparency and accountability, as well as social justice and environmental responsibility. Students will be able to complete the certificate in one year either in-person or online. Courses successfully completed in this program may be transferred, if applicable, to the Executive Master of Public Administration degree program.
