Gannon offers over 70 undergraduate degree options to choose from in a variety of disciplines, from business and engineering to humanities, education, the sciences and health professions.
The undeclared program assists students in identifying personal interests and career objectives that will help determine a major. A four-year career plan is offered to every student, along with career assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.
Nationally, between 30 and 40 percent of incoming freshmen are unsure of a major when they enter college. It is also estimated that 50-60 percent of students change their majors, and many do so more than once.
The research capabilities of the Environaut, Gannon’s 48-foot research vessel on Lake Erie, have been significantly enhanced by the addition of radar, sonar, an underwater camera, a generator and an enclosed laboratory.
