The Research Assistant is under the supervision of the director of the Developmental Cognitive Neuroimaging Laboratory, administer neuropsychological battery to child and adult research subjects, run MRI scanning procedures, perform database entries, and perform consent conferences with child and adult research subjects. Train student researchers and interact with other laboratory assistants on common projects. Other key responsibilities will include certain aspects of project management. As part of project management responsibilities, the incumbent will organize subject information and demographics, help prepare reports to help the PI determine the best use of project resources, and assist the PI in preparing reports for conferences and progress to the NIH. The incumbent will complete ongoing tasks according to guidelines set forth in advance. The incumbent will also work with other team members and meet on a regular basis with the Brain Development Project Director. The incumbent will generally operate without close supervision on a daily basis.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED.
License, Registration or Certification required: Valid California Driver’s License.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to drive to various meeting/interview sites. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
