ESRC studentships: Credit and Labour market foundations in macroeconomics

*Fully funded EHRC studentships at a world-leading university* At the University of Edinburgh, we’re looking for outstanding scholars to take up six studentships funded by the ESRC and the University of Edinburgh *in the area of* *credit and labour market foundations in macroeconomics. * As a PhD student your research will be part of the ESRC large grant on credit and labour market foundations of the macroeconomy (2015-2020) led by Professor John Hardman Moore. The project  includes nine other co-investigators from the School of Economics at Edinburgh together with international investigators from Princeton, Michigan, Rochester, Pennsylvania, Amsterdam and Stockholm. These co-investigators will help support you as you conduct research that will make a significant impact on both academia and practice. *Our doctoral programme* Our doctoral programme is structured to ensure that you receive training throughout your first year in the following areas: microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics and one other specialist topic. After first year, you will focus on your research and the development of your thesis. *Our research community* You will join an active research community and participate in regular seminars hosted by academics of international reputation, workshops and discussion groups. *Entrance requirements* To be admitted to our doctoral programme, you must obtain a distinction in a recognised Masters degree in economics plus a distinction level at the dissertation stage.
