We offer numerous scholarships to encourage exceptional students to apply for Masters programmes at the University of Exeter. These scholarships tend to be highly competitive and merit-based, so we recommend investigating options early as deadlines and eligibility vary. Many schemes will not cover full costs, but may go some way to reducing the costs.
You cannot normally hold more than one scholarship awarded by the University, but you can usually apply for as many external schemes as you like.
Details of the various kinds of scholarships available are listed further down this page.
You can also search for postgraduate funding via our funding database - which contains details of every single Masters scholarship we offer, as well as numerous bursaries and non-academic scholarships. You can search via subject, fee status, campus, level of study and more to find funding that fits you.
There are all sorts of other ways to fund a Masters degree. Our alternative funding page lists all sorts of ideas from educational charities to crowdfunding.
Global Excellence Scholarship
This year we are pleased to offer the Global Excellence Scholarship: more than £1.5 million worth of scholarships dedicated to international students of outstanding academic quality applying to programmes, starting in autumn 2018.
This award will be automatically applied to outstanding international applicants, and does not need to be applied for separately. If you are awarded a scholarship as part of this scheme you will be informed as part of your offer letter.
