A scholarship opportunity for non-Michigan students
Michigan Tech’s National Scholars Program rewards academically talented nonresident students who leave their home states to pursue a world-class education at Michigan Tech. This scholarship gives substantial financial assistance—up to $54,000 over four years (eight semesters) of study.
All non-Michigan US residents and Canadian residents accepted for admission are automatically considered for this scholarship.
Scholars of Excellence
Incoming first-year students with an ACT composite of 27 or higher (1280 SAT Total) and a cumulative GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) will receive $12,500 per year—$50,000 over four years (eight semesters)—of study.
The Scholars of Excellence award brings annual tuition close to that of an in-state student.
Scholars of Prominence, Distinction, and Achievement
The National Scholars Program also offers $13,500, $10,000, and $7,000 annual awards—$54,000, $40,000, and $28,000 over four years (eight semesters) of study—to first-year students. These scholarships are competitively awarded based on your ACT or SAT scores and cumulative GPA.*
Transfer Student Award
Transfer students who have earned 12 or more** college-level credits after high school graduation are considered for awards based upon cumulative college GPA.
