Our scholarships will take the form of:
All scholarships are offered in the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantships, whereby PhD students receive financial support in return for a limited amount of teaching (up to six hours per week) across the Autumn and Spring terms.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding research potential, and will have obtained a good undergraduate honours degree (a First or good 2i), and ordinarily a Master’s degree with Merit or Distinction.
- The scholarship competition is open to all new School of Economics postgraduate research applicants (current Kent research students are not eligible for these scholarships). We accept candidates in any area of economics, but we encourage applicants to take a look at the School's research specialisms in order to identify a potential area in which you are interested in working.
UK, EU and overseas fee paying students are invited to apply. Please note that overseas students must have the appropriate documentation to evidence eligibility to work in the UK.
