PhD Scholarship in Population Aging and Macroeconomic Policy Analysis
A fully funded PhD scholarship is available in macroeconomics, with a focus on the effects of demographic change on macroeconomic policy. In particular, the project aims to investigate the degree to which changes in the population age structure will affect both the need for and efficacy of fiscal and monetary policy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or background in macroeconomics policy and will need to engage in quantitative estimation of economic models, as well as empirical research. A willingness to engage in the programming and development of these models is critical. The project will provide an opportunity to address relevant questions around important policy issues under shifting demographic structures, while also providing tools useful in wider economic analysis.
The successful candidate will conduct a research assistantship under the supervision of Prof. Joseph Kopecky. Please email Prof. Joseph Kopecky at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. Closing date 31st April 2021.
